Stay on top with the notification bell

The in-app bell shows live run updates. Never miss a completed run, blocked action, or checkpoint.

The in-app notification bell keeps you up to date on every run without needing to manually check your dashboard. Forge sends a notification whenever something in a run needs your attention or is ready to read.

The bell icon

The bell icon sits in the left sidebar. When there are unread notifications, a red badge appears showing the count. Click the bell to open the notification dropdown, which shows the last 20 notifications in reverse chronological order.

What triggers a notification

Run completed

Sent when all agents finish and outputs are ready in the Output Hub.

Run blocked

Sent when an action tool is held pending your approval.

Answer needed

Sent when an agent pauses and asks a clarifying question at a human checkpoint.

Acting on notifications

Click any notification to navigate directly to that run. The notification is marked as read automatically when you click it. To clear all unread notifications at once, click Mark all read at the top of the dropdown.

Push notifications

In-app notifications are separate from push notifications. To receive alerts when the browser or app is not open, go to Settings → Profile → Notifications and enable push. See the Set up push notifications guide for full setup instructions.

Tip:If you run long pipelines that take several minutes, turn on push notifications and close the browser tab. You will get a push alert the moment the run completes — no need to keep Forge open.
