Set up push notifications

Install Forge as a PWA and get notified the moment any run completes.

Forge works as a native app on mobile and desktop via Progressive Web App (PWA) technology. Once installed and notifications are enabled, you get push alerts the moment a run completes — no need to keep the browser open.

Installing on iOS

  1. Open forge.shanova.se in Safari on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up) in the bottom toolbar.
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Give it a name and tap Add. The Forge icon now appears on your home screen.
  5. Open Forge from the home screen icon (this opens it in standalone app mode).

Installing on Android

  1. Open forge.shanova.se in Chrome.
  2. In the Forge sidebar, click the Install app button (it appears automatically when Chrome detects the PWA).
  3. Alternatively, tap the three-dot menu in Chrome and select Install app.
  4. Confirm the install prompt. Forge is added to your home screen and app drawer.

Installing on desktop

In Chrome or Edge, look for the install icon in the address bar (a monitor with a down arrow). Click it and confirm. Forge opens as a standalone app window.

Enabling push notifications

Once installed as a PWA, go to Settings → Profile → Notifications in the Forge dashboard. Toggle on push notifications. Your browser will ask for permission — click Allow.

What triggers a notification

Run completed

Sent when all agents finish and outputs are ready. Tapping links directly to the Output Hub.

Run blocked

Sent when an action tool is held pending your approval. Tapping opens the approval panel.

Answer needed

Sent when an agent pauses and asks a clarifying question. Tapping opens the question panel.

Tip:You must open Forge from the installed PWA icon for notifications to work. Opening it in a regular browser tab does not trigger push notifications even if permissions are granted.
