Every Forge account belongs to an organisation. When you sign up, a personal trial organisation is created automatically. As an organisation admin you can invite team members, change roles, and remove members. This guide covers all three.
Viewing your organisation
Go to Settings → Profile → Organisation. You will see your organisation name, current plan, seat limit, monthly run quota, and a list of all members with their roles and status.
Roles
Admin
Full access. Can invite and remove members, change roles, and manage billing. At least one admin must exist at all times.
Member
Can create and manage runs, build custom teams, and use all platform features. Cannot change billing or manage other members.
Viewer
Read-only access. Can view runs and outputs but cannot create new runs or modify teams.
Inviting a member
- Go to Settings → Profile → Organisation.
- Enter the person's email address and choose their role (Admin or Member).
- Click Invite.
- If the person already has a Forge account, they are added immediately as an active member.
- If they don't have an account, they receive an invitation email with a magic link. Clicking the link takes them to a sign-up page and adds them to your organisation automatically.
Changing a member's role
In the member list, use the role dropdown next to any member to change their role. Changes take effect immediately. You cannot demote the only admin — promote another member first.
Removing a member
Click the remove button (×) next to any member. The member loses access immediately. Their past runs and outputs remain in your organisation's history — removing a member does not delete their work.
